Sohail first joined CEP in 2017 as an analyst, where he played a key role in refining YouthTruth’s rigorous analytical processes. In 2021, Sohail left CEP to pursue a Master’s in Public Policy from the University of California, Berkeley. Since then, he has collaborated with both federal and local government agencies to enhance data systems and develop technical solutions that directly benefit constituents. Before returning to CEP in 2024, Sohail worked at San Francisco’s Department of Homelessness and Supportive Housing, where he led efforts in enumerating and surveying the city’s homeless population, uplifting their voices in citywide policymaking.
During his free time, Sohail likes to play basketball, eat good food, and talk local politics.
